Importance of volunteer work

As a student of Electrical Engineer, I have enhanced my technical skills in my educational career but I was very bad at communication and then I joined a student society of IEEE as a volunteer of event management team. This role enhance my exposure of public dealing and organization of event. I took part in organizing many events and make good friends. People think that volunteer work is useless as you didn’t get paid but my point of view is that we work and we learn like what are our strengths and weaknesses, what task can we do better, we can learn about ourselves by doing volunteer work. I have made many connection with people through organizing technical and non technical event and I can say with confidence if I didn’t work with event management team then I won’t be able to meet such a nice people who are determined and passionate.
